How the Volumes work
- Is each Volume a subscription?
- No. Each Volume is purchased once and gives you access for its stated period. It does not renew automatically.
- What happens when my access ends?
- The Volume closes, but your OINOS account remains active.
- Your progress, flashcard history and tasting notes are preserved. If you want to return, you can add more time and continue from where you left off.
- Why does each Volume have a different access period?
- Each represents a different depth of study.
- Volume I introduces the foundations and can be completed relatively quickly. Volume II requires more time to explore grapes, regions and styles. Volume III is considerably broader, with deeper theory, revision and written-answer practice.
- The access periods reflect that progression: two months for Volume I, four months for Volume II and six months for Volume III.
- What can I explore for free?
- Create an OINOS account and a selection of Volume I lessons becomes available immediately.
- These are complete lessons rather than samples, giving you a genuine introduction to the way OINOS approaches wine.
- Do I need to begin with Volume I?
- No.
- Begin with the Volume that corresponds to the level you are currently studying.
- What if I don’t pass?
- OINOS supports your preparation, but examination results cannot be guaranteed. WSET examinations are set and marked independently of OINOS.
- If you need to resit, simply add more time to your Volume and continue where you left off.
- Are the Volumes official WSET course materials?
- No. OINOS is an independent learning and editorial platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WSET.
- The Volumes are designed to complement study for WSET® Levels 1, 2 and 3 while approaching wine through the wider OINOS perspective.
