Terms of Use

Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 September 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the OINOS website, educational platform and related services operated by EidosCollective LLC, trading as OINOS by EIDOS (“OINOS”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing or using OINOS, you agree to these Terms.

1The OINOS Service

OINOS is an independent digital wine-education platform providing educational content and study tools, including lessons, maps, tasting materials, flashcards, assessments, mock examinations and related resources.

OINOS provides educational information only. Completion of OINOS material does not itself constitute an external professional certification or qualification unless expressly stated otherwise.

2Accounts

Certain features may require an account.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

Accounts are intended for individual use and may not be shared, sold or transferred without our permission.

3Educational Content

OINOS aims to provide accurate, carefully researched and current educational material. Wine regions, appellation regulations, classifications, production rules and industry practices may nevertheless change over time.

OINOS does not guarantee that every piece of educational content will remain complete or current indefinitely.

Users preparing for an external examination should also consult the current materials and requirements published by the relevant examination or awarding organisation.

4Independent Status

OINOS is an independent educational platform.

References to third-party qualifications, organisations, appellations, producers, trademarks or educational systems are provided for identification and educational purposes.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such references do not imply sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement.

OINOS is an independent learning and editorial platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WSET. OINOS does not provide WSET qualifications or examinations, and the Volumes do not replace enrolment with a WSET Approved Programme Provider or any official materials required for your qualification.

WSET® is a registered trademark of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

5Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the OINOS platform and its original content — including text, educational structures, illustrations, maps, graphics, design elements, assessments and other materials — are owned by or licensed to EidosCollective LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

OINOS content is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, scrape, systematically download, commercially exploit or create substantially derivative educational products from OINOS content without prior written permission.

6Acceptable Use

You may not use OINOS in a manner that interferes with the platform, compromises security, infringes intellectual-property rights, attempts to obtain unauthorised access, introduces malicious software, or violates applicable law.

Automated extraction or scraping of substantial portions of OINOS content is prohibited except where required by applicable law or expressly authorised by us.

7Paid Access

Certain OINOS content or functionality requires payment.

Paid access is a one-time purchase of access for a fixed period. It is not a subscription: nothing renews automatically and there is nothing to cancel. When a period ends, paid material simply closes, while your account, progress and notes remain.

What is included, the length of the access period and the price are shown before purchase. Prices are shown in euro and include all applicable taxes.

Extensions add further time to access you already hold. An extension is counted from the later of today and your current end date, so nothing is lost if your access has already ended.

Payments are processed by our payment provider on its own secure page. Card details are never received or stored by OINOS.

Access opens immediately after a successful payment.

8Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content without giving a reason.

Because access opens immediately, we ask you to confirm two things at checkout: that you want access straight away, and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once the paid material has been opened. We record that confirmation together with your payment. Without it we cannot open access immediately.

Before you open any paid material, you may withdraw within 14 days and receive a full refund.

Once you have opened paid material after giving that confirmation, the right of withdrawal no longer applies and the purchase is not refundable on the basis of a change of mind.

Independently of the above, we will refund a purchase where paid access was charged but not delivered, where it was charged twice for the same period, or where a technical fault on our side prevents access and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.

Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of our decision. A refunded purchase ends the access it paid for.

To request a refund or to withdraw, write to support@eidoscollective.com from the email address associated with your account. You may use a clear statement in your own words; no particular form is required.

Statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded are unaffected by this section.

9Availability

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue portions of OINOS as the platform develops.

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and may occasionally restrict availability for maintenance, security or technical reasons.

10Disclaimer

OINOS provides educational information about wine and related subjects. Content is not intended as medical, legal, financial or professional advice.

References to alcoholic beverages are educational in nature and do not constitute encouragement to consume alcohol.

11Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OINOS and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where a user materially breaches these Terms, misuses the platform or threatens its security or integrity.

Users may stop using OINOS at any time and may request deletion of their account subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.

13Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as OINOS develops or where required by changes in law, technology or our services.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

14Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply in the user's country of residence.
