The Loire Valley is France’s longest wine region, stretching from the Atlantic coast deep into central France. As the Loire River flows inland, the climate gradually changes from maritime to continental, shaping which grape varieties thrive and the styles of wine they produce. Despite this diversity, one characteristic unites the region: freshness driven by naturally high acidity.
